Son, I've been driving since you were in diapers and don't need an article by anyone to tell me that that which I have lived through is false. Red autos are ticket magnets. In my youth I drove like a maniac every time I got behind the wheel and got the flashing lights after me most often while driving our red or black/white cars. I could drive twice as reckless in my tan/gold car and never, ever got pulled over in that car.

There's more stories but who cares. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Ok, Grandpa, no need to get your panties in a bunch. Want me to get off of your lawn, too? :manos:

As I already said, my experiences differ greatly from yours and I posted multiple sources that support my opinion, including a statement from a source in the insurance industry. Red cars do not cost more to insure and thus, are no more likely to get ticketed.

You stated you got pulled over the most in red, black, and white, so the only conclusion that I can draw from your post is that tan/gold is less likely to be pulled over than other colors. I have been pulled over in Red, Green, White, Silver, and Black. Not one color more prevalent than another. Never owned a mythical gold car, though.

Cops these days have to worry about far more than they did "back in your day". Seat belt laws. Distracted Driving laws. Car seat laws. Tougher DUI laws. LIDAR didn't start reaching police cars until the 2000s, which allows police to clock a car from up to 4,000ft. Can you tell what color a car is from 3/4 of a mile away? I can't. Advances in technology (and changes in enforcement priorities) tend to make some of our experiences irrelevant. It's like saying cell phones are junk because you couldn't make a call from your couch in 1998. Have an open mind and do your own research...you might just learn something.

If you get impatient and have the VIN, pay $5 to compnine and they will give you all the RPOs for that VIN and possibly how many other trucks that year came with that particular option. What's the 8th digit of the VIN? I think they had either LQ4 or LQ9 engines. I think the LQ9 was for Denalis.
FYI, the Denali has the LQ4 6.0L V8 while the LQ9 6.0L V8 was specifically in the escalade models. I will also add that the LTZ suburban which is pretty rare especially in this red color, has the LQ4 6.0, just like the Denali.
Interesting find there. Was there a Tahoe LTZ made in the same year, or only Sub?
There was never an LTZ trimmed tahoe in 2006. The LTZ was only in the suburban.

I find it interesting that GM didn't include the 7 gauge cluster on this vehicle.
