Myself and another member are still experiencing the issue with the interior lights not coming on when opening the lifgate. They work fine when opening just the rear glass or the four passenger doors, but not when popping the lift gate open. I'm getting fed up with it not working, so soon I'll probably just tear the rear hatch apart, figure out what sends the signal for the lights to come on, and repair or replace said part.

Its really not that big of a deal because I usually just pop the glass button first and then open the entire lift gate if its dark outside and I need to see in the back, but I'm just picky and want everything working correctly. :)

I have a similar problem on the 1996 GMC Yukon (2 Dr, 4WD). The interior dome light will not come on when the driver or passenger doors open (there are push switches on both sides - like a refrigerator door). The light does come on when the tailgate is lifted up or I can turn them on manually using the rotary instrument panel light switch (thumb wheel). The button to turn off dome light is out and is NOT pushed in).

You're in the 2007-2014 section. You'd be better off posting in the correct area.
