throttle position sensor is one of those sensors i recomend not going cheap on
because its a sensor that can leave you up shit creek with out a paddle in the middle of nowhere
a bad TPS had me stranded in the middle of nowhere in western nevada because in my situation the TPS failing caused the PCM to go into limp home mode and you can only drive 45 mph for a short period of time then you gotta stop turn off the and restart the vehicle

Update:

Installed my cheapo tips sensor and my trucks idle has massively improved, running great!:)

this incident actually happened in new ford ranger fx4 i had bought when i got back from iraq later that year i changed duty stations from ft hood to ft lewis and i was out on in western neveda on SR 376 between tonopah and Interstate 50 and just to give you an idea how far in the middle of nowhere i was interstate 50 is known as the lonliest highway in the country

Feels great to go cheap on parts and do a simple job that would cost $200+ at any corporate mechanic:)
