I'm glad I managed to do most of my planned upgrades so soon. The Smoked LED 3rd brake light came in today and I installed it. I don't have any pictures of it yet, though.

I'm not sure about using fishing line to sew that hole .I do these all the time and I use thread to do. Get it from a crafts store, use the type on the teal/greenish spool(thick thread) and get a thick/heavy duty needle, you'll need it to puncture the leather. Try to get thread that matches in color to your seat color because it's going to show .

That's cool, any questions just ask. I once tried fishing line on a leather seat, lower center, where your butt goes, I had to wear heavy duty leather gloves! I was pulling the fishing line so tight it was actually starting to cut my hands .I'll try to get a pic of the spool I'm talking about this weekend .

Sounds very painful! The only reason I thought of fishing line is because I wasn't sure if regular thread would hold it since it's in such a high friction area. But I really do appreciate all the tips you've got. I'm new to trying to repair leather. You can get the bottoms on ebay for about $150,but the leather is really only bad in that single spot... If it's fixable I'd much rather go that route.

It'll hold for awhile , tho nothing is forever .It's because people slide in and out of the vehicle, I'm sure you knew that tho.
