I have an 07 SLT Yukon with stock navigation. Right now i hook up my ipod with a 35 mm cable. Not the best set up.

I read on here awhile ago that someone had some kind of adapter for an ipod on a stock nav. Now i cant find it.

Anybody read the post? or know about this adapter?

Haha I use the 3.5mm with my iPhone and keep the excess cable in my console.

But uh, you have some options.

First of all, you can spend $$$ and get a factory-like system that you install to be hidden. It integrates with your radio and shows the song name and everything on your nav. Here is one on eBay. To work with the nav, you have to have OnStar buttons but I'm sure you do.

Another thing is you can buy FM transmitters that send your iPod's audio over the air to a blank radio channel that you choose. I don't recommend this as the quality is not near as good as any other options, but again, it IS an option.

I would stick with the 3.5mm cable the best ive found so far thats cheap. Those FM transmitters can catch static and if someone else is listening to there ipod on same channel you hear there music. Had it happen once freaked me out. But the transmitters can hook up with anything with a radio.

Yeah exactly, my dad had one and it sucked. I use the 3.5mm and have no complaints but an iPod system integrated into the nav doesn't sound like too bad!

Thanks for the info. I am going to look into the added AUX input so that it fully integrates into my factory nav.

I like that i have the option of the 35 mm cord but

1) I dont like having to change the song on my ipod, change playlists, etc (there are some pretty dangerous roads where i live and i dont like to be focusing on a gadget while driving)

2) If i can full integrate and not have cords running anywhere then i would be stoked!

Thanks again!
