Is a cam worth it

what would a shop ballpark charge for a cam and install on a 6.0 lq9? $1500 all wrapped up with cam, lifters and pushrods...

Then the torque converter is another thing. I would probably build my valve body too. I have a buddy who does trans work.

Yes, the entire cam package with gaskets, rods, lifters, springs, etc. cost $1300 and his labor is going to be $800

Thats not bad at all, I still need to buy long tubes though. And get the trans done haha. Im debating on buying something else thats stock, very fast with a warranty haha. You've gotta lower your truck price32. it'll look so much better and its only like $600 and keep your air ride.
