I also call it a truck. I agree that it is technically an SUV but it is based off of a truck so that got my vote.

it isn't a truck... it has no bed.
it isn't a car... it is based on a truck chassis and driveline and vin'd and registered as a truck
it isn;t an SUV... it isn't sporty, and with the 3rd row, full carpet, etc. it isn't very utility either.

I just call it "the **"
though I call it generically 'car' more than I do truck.
truck are designed principally for moving objects,
while cars are designed principally for moving people.

Here is a follow-up question... if the Tahoe is in your mind a truck, what is Obamas new Cadillac DTS Presidential limousine?

It LOOKS like a car, but is based on a truck chassis and drivetrain, not a stretched car chassis.

Thats a specialty car...a custom car..therefore, its not realistic in this specific conversation. Our trucks are mass produced on an assembly line. That car is not

I could mount a motorcycle frame on a school bus chasis...its custom...doesnt belong

we have VERY different ideas of novelty.

I look at it as an armoured Esky EXT... that's basically what it is.

A really big armoured car.

The armored ESKY is just armored...this car has been built on a completely different chasis...and the entire body has been stretched to resemble something completely different from its stock form. They could have just up-armored a standard Caddy...

Limo's are not a typical vehicle anyways

Our Tahoes and Yukons were up-armored...they still kept the same body though

I know... I used to put a lot of stereo equipment in armoured Suburbas for the local drug cartels.
And actually they had to move to a truck chassis because car chassises couldn't handle the weight of the additional armour they wanted to add.

I still call it a car, and think of my tahoe as a car... until I stick a trailer on it.
Then it's a truck. :)

I say lets take the yukon or rado. Cause silverado takes to long. When I get the f250 I can say. Lets take the ford, Lets take the Gmc. Or lets take the chevy, that will be better.
