Is it necessary to do free travel mod with 2/3-4 drop?

I just lowered my tahoe and the ride is pretty stiff... i have a newborn baby and i dont want her to ride in it if the ride quality is going to be that way...I got the belltech 2" spindle up front and the belltech 3 drop springs with bump stops and spacer... Is it necessary to do the mod even for a 3-4" drop in the rear?

Honeslty Id do it to any 3-4 drop. Once you load up the back even with the short bumpstops the 3 inch level is close to bottoming out.

I mean i tell customers they dont need to and if they have a problem come back and I can cut it off but once its off just a lot more travel there.

4" drop I would cut it off 100% no questions asked

Fred - I bought Tony's 3/4 kit and it rode pretty stiff at first, but was much better after I shortened the links. Not sure if you have an autoride truck, but I'd start with the links if you do.
