Dealership by me is selling a 2013 Tahoe lt texas edition with 31747 miles and has a couple damage reports on carfax that are minor. The ac is having issues as well but said it was a deal breaker unless fixed. Looked at the car in person can see the radiator brace on top has been replaced. Other than that a clean car but they want $29500 after licensing and fees. It’s a one owner with a lot of service records as well. Is it worth it?

That is the market value for that kind of mileage. If you don't buy it, someone else will for that price or very close to it.

Folks place a premium on low mileage vehicles regardless of age.

As for that particular truck, even though the miles are low, it's going to have 10 year old car issues and issues from sitting and not being driven. If you plan for these expenses and don't mind them, then it is a good buy for you. A plus is that you have the service records. If the repairs from the accidents were done correctly, I would not worry about them.

they were not done correctly if the A/C isn't even functional.... it's pretty clear corners were cut to save a few dollars in the repair process......

I see dealers sell cars with all kinds of problems these days and get away with it because people allow it. In the OPs case, the dealer did say that they would fix it if I read that post right.

that you think a 08 hybrid with a dead battery is worth 13k, also having been driven on that bad battery for the last 5 years, which is just hell on the tranny means you don't believe the market has crashed as well. I wouldn't offer you 5k for it, I'd be afraid you'd accept it. and I find the trucks interesting lol.

P0A80 means it's in Fail safe mode , autostop works and get a cleaner start (no jerk)then people with worn out batteries without that code. if i'm getting 25-26mpg things are working right and the transmission isn't being stressed out... it's barely at 145F when i get to work about 1.25 hours drive..... that is below operating temp of any normal transmission.... heat is an indicator of stress .. I play the hill game Speed up on down hills and coast up the hills (tell i hit minimum speed limit or traffic flow)


the highest i have seen was 157 to 162 when it's 100f outside on my way back home.....

i had a offer for 18k even with the bad battery.... I refused the offer i didn't want to sell it to my neighbor.. the market is willing to pay 13k for it...as it sits today i feel that is the current fair market value.

18k is when gas was 7$ a gallon too more MPG= HIGHER price ... we can see the price go up as the Fuel prices rise......

Not even close, dude. NO ONE wants the hybrids. NO ONE. There’s a reason they’re usually $10k-$15k less than an equivalent Denali or Escalade 6.2L. Everything is discontinued so you can’t fix it. I just saw a thread about a guy that can’t find a transmission. Why would anyone want it? The gas mileage still sucks anyway. They only get slightly better mileage in the city and the same mileage on the highway and that’s only, like every other hybrid, if you ***** foot around and drive 10 under the speed limit on the highway.

I would skip this one because of the accidents. The price is fine for the mileage but I don’t do accidents. They’re usually fixed poorly because the insurance companies won’t pay otherwise. These trucks aren’t old enough yet to worry a whole lot about the age on super low mileage like this, in my opinion, if garage kept. I’d pass if it was parked outside and baked in the sun though because then the paint and exterior trim would definitely all be ruined.

i'm speeeeeeding at 55-65mph in a 35-45mph zone....
if it had easier turns i'd go upto 75mph on this back road.. far faster then sitting in 0-25mph freeway traffic(rush hour anyways)...

how is that not a lead foot??? that is too bad if you can't find a transmission just repair it instead ... it's just a typical 4 speed transmission 4L60E with a couple of electrical motors on it & a internal transfer sun gears... if anything his transmission isn't working because the AUX pump is dead.. which requires it to shift into gear as it applies pressure to 1-2 clutch packs,EV mode and reverse.. also the difference between the 4x4 and 2WD is a shorter drive shaft and transfer case... Yeah it might have a slightly different output connector but you transfer over the old one...

The X175 connector should be inspected for damage or pushed out pins..

maybe you should learn how to drive better I recommended this same route to my co workers that also live in the same area they also got a boost in MPG as well..



IF anything the engine and transmission could be swapped yeah it will need a few other parts such as a radiator,mount, ECM and A/C system ( complete flush), aBS module , brake booster module .. a few other parts maybe required

It is NOT like a 4L60. At all. Not even in the ball park. It’s more like a CVT if you’re trying to compare.

It’s pretty hard to rebuild something you can’t get parts for. Try again.
