Ok somebody help me out with fluid weight. Dealer said about $70 each to service ummm think I'll do it myself and put some good stuff in there since it's not required to be done that often

I can't see the pictures, I think they have my computer set to not show them at work. However, I've built differentials before. Don't worry about the metal. Just clean it out and don't worry about it. It's normal break in wear, especially if they're turning all the time. I bet if you clean out the metal and change the fluid and check it again later it won't have nearly as much metal.

I would never pay what they want to service or rebuild a differential. You could buy all the parts needed and all the tools needed to do both diffs in a 4wd for the price they want to rebuild one of them. I could rebuild one in a weekend easily. After the first one, the second one would be easier and could be done in one day.
