Is there a gasket between the catalytic converter and flex-pipe?

Lots of penetrant before laying any tools on those bolts or be prepared to replace all after cutting them off.

Two or three times a day for a few days at least.

All of the current system is getting cut off. I'm not even going to bother putting a wrench on any of it... hangers and all.

Good plan. A Sawzall and fire wrench solve most rusty exhaust problems. Gotta love salt.....
