Is there a way to fix the light leads on the gauge cluster?

Hey guys, way back when I put LEDs in my gauge cluster I accidentally scratched a couple of the leads. I checked the polarity of the leds & twistlock adapter and tried the original lights and a couple of them still don't light up. Can I get one of those solder pens to fix it? Thanks!

If you mean the circuit board traces you could probably use some thin (insulated not bare) wire and solder the ends to points on the board where there's a through hole or connector. It's hard to solder to a trace because it's so thin and they tend to just melt away. Solder isn't a good conductor by itself either. You need a pencil-type soldering iron. You might need to clean the soldering area with a solvent to remove any clear coat or contaminant first.

Yes, use led strips to replace those crappy bulbs, cut the strips and steick them evenly inside the assembly.
Solder the strips to the copper pads for bulbs.
No more ****** hot spots.


Get a RGBWW kit and have any color you want in your dash.


If you know what a soldering iron is..... You can do this.

If you decide to repair the sockets so they work, you can just replace the bulbs with LED's in any color too. I did mine in blue and theres no hot spots. There's a write-up in a sticky. It's super easy.
