I think the resistor on the top in my first picture might be bad based on the fact that it looks darker. It only looks darker on the side by the air cleaner. And yes, it is clean. I have cleaned it several times. Can anyone confirm or deny this please?

Soooo. The answer is yes. It's a bad resistor. I homed it out and it was an open circuit. Hope this helps someone.

What were the issues to lead you to this part being defective? What data did you use to determine failure other than an ohm meter? Not flaming just curious as an ohm meter may not be giving you the right values. Now back pinning the connector with the MAF hooked up to the engine would be where I start from and having good service manual.

First ohm it out and then I ohm one I got from a junkyard. Changed it out and the truck is running much better. But still not right. The hesitation is almost gone. Maybe it will take alittle time for the computer to readjust?

You may have another problem. But I would drive it a bit and see if it gets better. Did you disconnect the battery ? A scanner that gives you data would be a big help to see if there is any other problems.

I wouldn't trust electronics like s MAF sensor from a junkyard but that's just me. A new part is guaranteed to be good and it's not that expensive. Or you can keep guessing.

You could try resetting by disconnecting the positive battery terminal for 15 mins, then touch the positive lead to the negative terminal before reconnecting to remove any residual power. Sometimes this resets the vehicles electronics. Don't touch any switches or controls after starting it back up; let it run for at least 10 minutes. Never know it might help.
