Glad to finally be back... Picked this one up last Saturday and it's been a busy week...

Thanks. It sounds good but I wouldn't want it any louder. I'll post a video of it soon.

Sick ride! What did you do with your stock wheels? Are you looking to sell them?

How'd the grill install go? Was looking to swap out the one on my Tahoe and it seems it requires the removal of the front bumper in order to do so. Was that your same experience? If so, how long did it all take?

Using hand tools the install went smooth and took about five hours from beginning to finish, but this included cutting and affixing the new grille, and there were a couple of unexpected hindrances along the way which slowed things down a bit. You are correct about having to remove the entire front bumper cover, however I am not convinced that this is 100% necessary after going through the process of removal and re-installation(at least not for my project).

I followed these instructions for removal. Step 6 is where I ran into problems on the passenger side as the black plastic piece which holds the bumper cover snapped to/aligned to the fender would not release. This part has three small screws which had to be loosened and one of them could only be accessed with a closed-end wrench. Also, the instructions fail to mention the two 10mm bolts just inside each of the headlight housings... but those were obvious.

My project required quiet a bit of custom cutting of the very stubborn stainless steel woven mesh grille material during fitment trials so leaving the OEM grille attached to the bumper during installation was not a feasible option. I removed the bumper cover/grille combo then separated the two pieces and focused all efforts on the grille only. Once the grille was ready to be re-installed I snapped it back into place, added bolts where the two OEM rivets had to be removed, then re-installed the bumper cover/grille combo following the removal steps in reverse.

Having air tools would've sped things up quite a bit.

Regardless, I achieved the look of a RaceMeshGrille here... but mine was only $100.00.

I've watched the video that Real Trucks did for installing the TRex grill on a Suburban and I figured it would take me a good 2-3hrs with hand tools and no lift like they had. Sounds like it may not be as quick and easy as the video made it seems though.

Although I won't be going with a mesh grill so won't have to worry about any cutting.

Planning to go with something like this one:
