What kind of jack do you guys use with a lift? I've got a 2 1/4 ton floor jack that doesn't even touch the bottom of my truck when its all the way up. I even tried a 4 ton floor jack and it barely lifted my tahoe, not even enough to get the tire off the ground. I've got a 3" lift front and back with 285s. Any ideas?

I put two 4x4 scraps under my jack when I was using it to lift my old lifted truck. It worked fine.

Thats what I ended up doing. Not the safest but effective nonetheless. Good thing for jack stands.

I found one at Harbor Freight for a good price but need to measure my truck before I buy it. It lifts to a max of almost 24" but I need to make sure that would get my tires off the ground.

Where are you trying to jack it up at? I jacked up my old Silverado a few times to change tires and it is lifted around 11".

I usually jack it up from the front right by the skid plate to lift the whole front end at once. Then I put jack stands to hold it and just ease off the jack a little.

Have to show me where you're attempting to jack it up at because I see lifted trucks jacked up with normal jacks everyday. 3" should make zero difference on what jack to use unless you're using the frame.

This is what I'm talking about. I center the jack at the location circled and it lifts the whole front end evenly on both sides.
