As you jack it up where you have it circled the front control arms will drop as weight is taken off. Jack it up under the control arms and then set the jack stands. Jack it up under the rear diff and then set the jack stands.

We'll that's why. Lol I was gonna say our 3 ton has no issues lifting our lifted Tahoe and it's on 35X12.50R20's

Your 3 ton probably has a higher lift than my 2 1/4 ton. I've had mine for years and it worked great before I lifted the Tahoe. It doesn't even fit under my Dakota, which sits about an 1" off the ground. :) But that's a whole nother story... I'm still looking for a bigger floor jack with a higher lift and may end up having to get a hi lift jack if I put the 3" BL on the Tahoe.

A BL only raises your body so would not be any different than what you have now.

As you have been told, you are jacking it up wrong. It's not the jack, it's you.

Jack up the truck in the prper place and it works great.

Hi-lifts jacks are for off-road last ditch efforts. How old are you?

Maybe its you who doesn't understand. My jack DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH LIFT! PERIOD! No matter where I jack it up from, my tires don't come off the ground. To each his own though, thanks for your well thought out comment.

Maybe its just my jack then. I've tried at the control arms and the pumpkin, still not enough. It works great for my other 3 vehicles though.

I understand you can't seem to figure out how to properly jack up your truck.

LMAO

With 285's you should not have the problem with too tall a tire causing the arm height to be to little. Or you have perhaps the worst lift at the arm, in inches, of any 2 1/2 ton floor jack I have ever seen. But you may also have a jack that is not functioning properly or bleeding off because this rig is heavier than the other vehicles. But if the lift in inches is like any other 2 1/2 ton jack I have seen and you left near the lower ball joints and at the rear pumpkin then it should come up. There is something here that is not being said or seen.
