Jarring and harsh response to bumps and minor pot holes in the road

Hello all... (again)

Well my 99 Yukon is now almost perfect. Problem now is jarring and harsh bumps in the road.

Question is this...

I am going to do the lower control arms as they are warn. I have read that jarring could be weakened torsion bars. Should I change out the torsion bars while I have them off? Every thing else upfront but Stabilizer bushings have been changed out.

Any feedback to the jarring and harsh response from the front would be great. What have I missed?

Is it stock height, or leveled, lowered, lifted?

Stock. The only item not stock wheels and tires...

I have...

31/10.5 r15


I also put in new jounce bumpers (bumper stops). All four were either completely gone or half left. They were original. You would think this would help the harshness.

Here is the list completed so far for the front...

Tie Rods
Upper control arms
Pitman and idler Arms
Front brakes and rotors
New tires
Aligmment

These together solved the high speed vibration and shimmy.

Still needs replacement...

Swaybar bushings are almost shot - although the links are solid

Lower control arms are original after 225k miles and they appear warn and need to be replaced.

Maybe these last two items are causing the harsh response from bumps in the road?

The rear suspension appears to be responding well. Although I am sure we need to replace the sway bar bushings back there as well.

Perhaps, the bushings in the torsion bar assembly need to be replaced. That was the case in my 97 (RIP).

Control arm bushings is where I would look. Check the rears also.
