I got a box that fits behind the 3rd row, 1 10, amp, wires, and grill to protect the sub off eBay all brand new for less than $250, and I guarantee it sounds better than that.

How much power do you have going to that Kicker? That sounds like a good deal! That's what I wanted, something that won't require me to take the third row out. You don't think 2 10's would be louder than 1 10?

Or do you think that the box they are in is just not significant enough?

Those 10's are probably what, W0's? Maybe W1's? Those subs are around $100 new each. So $400 for a box? And yes, 1 CVR is louder than 2 W0's, or atleast close, and a CVR is only $70.

My amp is a Pioneer GM7500D, 400W RMS @ 2 Ohms, they are $96 new on the Bay.

I also have my amp installed on the box, with quick disconnects for the remote, power, and ground, so that I can easily disconnect everything and pull it out if I need the cargo space or take out the 3rd row. The grill is necessary as you don't want the sub hitting the rear door, but it was only another $20.

I currently have a JL Stealth box in my 2010 VW GTI and I was really surprised how hard it hit (for one 10"). I love the speaker. When I make the change from GTI to Tahoe, I would seriously consider getting the Tahoe version. SO I wouldn't question the quality of the product, or how hard it hits. I would question where its positioned though. You cant dynamat behind the box (which you usually should) and it just looks pretty awkward in the window. Just my $0.02. GL

Yea, they are w1v2-4 subs, they handle 600 watts. But yours sounds like a much better idea, at that rate I could do 2 10's with disconnects. Thanks for the info!

Yea, that was one of my questions when I saw it too. The only thing is, the other stealth box they make for where the factory BOSE sub is (under the cup holders in the center console) supposedly rattles pretty bad if there is anything in the center console and it's only one 10". I think it looks kind of awkward too, but at the same time kind of different/cool. I would think you could still get some soundproofing on the back side of it, against the window, but I'm not sure. And it is kind of expensive for what it is. I really would want to see/hear one before I bought it. I don't know, but I do know the factory sub is not enough.
