Just bought 02 Tahoe!!! now what can I use off my 96 Z71

Alright guys I been searching the forums but I havn't really found anything matching my situation. My 1996 Z71 pick is down, so me and wife deside to buy a 2002 Tahoe LT autoride 4x4. So heres the questions I got. I have 33 inch 12.50 Mud Kings on 15x10 rims on my Z71 with the same bolt pattern. Well they mount/clear the brake calibers on the Tahoe. 2nd If I can mount them how much lift do I need for good ride and no rubbing? I'm looking for min lift here. I had a 6 inch lift on the Z71 and the Wife complained constantly. Thanks for the help.

Also can I use the skid plates off the 96 Z71? just wondering since the Tahoe is a LT

you could use the rim with no lift i dont think your putting 33' on there but im shore some one will chime in im not a lifting guy

before you start raggin on the site, give it a chance. Its the best forum I've been on, and everyone here thinks the same. If u don't like it then leave, it doesn't matter to us. And for your question, yes the wheels will fit, maybe the brakes, not sure

im not sure a 15 inch rim will clear on ur newer hoe,

Pretty sure the 15s wont fit, might be able to do a 16 but i thot i remember something about the select 4x4s needing a 17 but that might just be z71s, dont quite remembe rand i might just be imagining things.
As for the skid plate i cant remember where mine mounts up as ive never had to play with it but with some amount of fabrication you can usually get stuff to fit anywhere

To O5nali aparently it took a negitive comment to get someone to give me a answer as you can see the orginal post was on the 16th and no one answered me till after my 2nd comment on the 22nd makes me think there's alot of non mechanical people on here. but anyways I measured the inside clearance of the stock 16 inch rim and then my 15 and I think they well fit. Im well repost if they do. Thanks for the replys

or it could be that not as many people drive 4x4s?
or it was kind of a silly question to begin with?
i mean since you have the wheel there and the truck there... and you have google. it would have taken you between 30 seconds and 15 minutes to find out.

15s won;t clear the caliper.

Clearing 33s is easy. Mine had 305/45/22s (32.81" x 12") on stock suspension, barely kissed the liner at full lock on one side.

Watch your garage door clearance though... That extra inch lift from 33s put my roof rack into the open door A COUPLE OF TIMES until I readjusted the door for more tension/higher opening.

I went back to 31s... on 20s.

as you can see not a lot of difference. and that photo was taken before the rear suspension pumped itself up.
