Nice ride, I’m loving my ‘06. I switched my alloys for H2 wheels and 285/70-17 duratracs and it’s made the ride much better.

i just bought a 2004 Yukon XL 2500 with 8.1, 4.10 rear end and 178k miles. For the mileage it’s in really good shape. The seller had just replaced the front hubs, bearings, ball joints, pitman arm, a/c compressor, rear rotors and battery

Since buying it I’ve replaced the air filter, plugs/wires, both O2 sensors, flushed the trans fluid and replaced the filter, swapped the original Delphi Autoride shocks with Bilstein 4600s, and replaced a heavy duty fan clutch that was in it (that was as loud as a semi truck) with the proper OEM unit, and will be putting a fresh set of tires on this week.

I had a 2000 Suburban 2500 with the 6.0 and 3.73 rear end that died in a freak and unfortunate engine fire.

I spent 6 months looking for this combo in a Yukon/‘burb that wasn’t thrashed. Had a few sold while I was literally on my way to look/buy, before finally having this one shipped from VA.

So glad to finally have another and am blown away at the difference between the two engine/rear end combos.

Was that one in Milaca Minnesota? I seen guy had one over there . Same color and everything and butI think it was 149k with 3:73 ..I think in 2006 only came with 3:73 on the 8.1. I have 4:10s on my 5.3 and I'm get 20 mpg on highway about 15 mpg city.

No it was a southern VA car it’s whole life until it came to CA.

I’d be lucky if I ever see 15 mpg. Even empty on the hwy I’m lucky to eek out 14 mpg. But oh man the torque of that 8.1.
