ok First of all, this key is for 00-06 tahoe/yukon/escade/silverado's. With the STOCK keyfob system. IT does not work on 07 up which have FACTORY remote start (the 2 way remote which I have Is way cooler anyway) I dont understand at all what t3erry is even talking about.

If it does not work you fine. Move on. For others its a pretty neet find for a simple cheap mod.

If I can assume what T3rry is assuming:

Most aftermarket alarm/remote starter combos come with their own keyfob.

So he assumes Snowjay, with remote start, is using a *insert name brand here* keyfob, and his OEM keyfob is just sitting in his desk at home. If this were true, then the switchblade keyfob would not work for him, as well as the OEM keyless fob.

But there are aftermarket remote starter systems that activate with the OEM fob, requiring you to hit the lock button twice to activate the remote starter.

I am suspecting that is what Snowjay has.

Make sense?

No 2ELO nailed it right on the head. I have factory remote start in my 2009. 5 buttons on the remote. Lock, unlock, start, rear glass and panic.

if you cant leave your truck for the 2 minuites unlocked then you must not be in a very nice area. Personally. I think nothing of it. even in the vette. Also I would find it annoying to remove teh fob off the ring (which would take longer than to just turn off and restart, or just get the thing you need). Driveway, No thought. ATM, all of ours are drive through. Convience store takes me longer than 2 minuites so I just turn it off.
