Alright so I was running a 5w30 oil in it before with 1qt of Lucas Oil in there. I just changed it yesterday and am running a 10w30 Pennzoil High Mileage. I also put in one of those STP Oil Treatments for good measure.

However during my initial change I could not get the damn old POS Fram filter off. So I left it on. I filled up with new oil since I had little option. I drove down to Oreillys and got a new oil grip wrench removed the old Fram and replaced it with a Bosch Distance Plus.

I noticed at start up this morning it was idling great. sounds good. However when driving it down into the city it has terribly low pressure. As you can see in the photos it is extremely low and I am doing 60+ MPH on the freeway.

The next one is me just after getting of the exit. It is really low. I am concerned it could lead to other issues. What would any of you recommend?

sounds like the oil has thinned out or is for some reason leaking past passages. pressure should have gone up and never use oil treatments.

Ok so I am going to go under and make sure the oil plug is on as tight as possible and also make sure that the filter is tight.

I will also grab the dipstick and check both off and on at idle.

It goes up when driving I just am a bit concerned as to why after I swapped oil it now is so low. Should I change to a 10w40 ?

you probably washed out any thickeners you had in there before. If with regular 5w/30 oil your oil is that low your bearing clearances are getting large, the pump is wearing out or the bypass valve is stuck somewhere.

now that i recal before i replaced my oil after 8+ years of sitting was when the ol pressure went down and did what dons is doing. i guess the old oil was super thick cause before the oil pressure was good

Ok I went under to check the tightness of my oil bolt and the filter. Both are tight now. However look at these lines they look like they could be leaking? I checked the
Ground around me and did not see any type of leakage.

When I turned it on though it is idling fine and the oil stays at 40 but that is before I drive at all.

Mine did the same thing before the oil pump went out.
