Ac up and running nicely.

I went through the grounds and found no issues.

So i took it out for another drive, as soon as i gave it a little throttle the error came back.

so this time i had hptuners and a laptop ready.
switched to the 6.2 tune i had prepped with the 2500 timing, error went totally away!

switching back again, the error returns.

so something is funky in the tune, probably something with the throttle body, only real difference i can think of.

I also noticed that HP Tuners shows my MAP, but just the lowest setting MAP, rpm shows fine.

So i switched to the old MAP sensor, same issue.

I'm guessing that might be something in my tune, or a damaged wire maybe?

Fixed the tune that had issues.
Seems to be the throttle settings that i copy pasted from the 6.0 ss tune.
the 6.2 tune had the same settings as my 5.3.

overall it seems to run a little better with that tune.
Seems to give it a little more fuel, low end is much better.

playing around with the map stuff, hp tuners is still being weird with it.
so i connected my generic scan tool, went to data and confirmed the map value is reading, and changing with the throttle.
So it must be an hp tuners setting.
Later task.

important thing is that it runs! w00t w00t

From the passenger side view, you can see how much money i spent. :jester:

As the engine heat cycles, you can really smell that paint curing.

And i do wish i pulled off the manifolds for some bead blasting and silver header paint.
but that would have been a bigger pita that i didn't want to deal with.

Seemed to be fixed by changing the electronic throttle settings back to the 5.3 stock.
I had copy pasted the values from the trail Blazer ss 6.0 tune.
Guessing that at part throttle there was an error that caused the computer to go into a limp mode or reboot.

(followed a gut feeling there)

and i used the tech 2 to pull the airbag code.
passenger side sensor seems to be fkd.

That's the side my helper mentioned to me, i forget what he did to it.
I made a mental note about it, and then i bought some beers afterwards.

all mental notes got deleted after that. :jester:

I'm not sure wth happened to it, I don't see any obvious damage.
I disconnected it for now, i don't need it making my steering wheel explode in my face. :waytogo:

Oh and a little side note.
i had a little sound coming from the engine from time to time.
I always wondered what it was.
Almost like a squeaking or something along those lines.

Apparently it's either the alternator or the power steering pump.
kuz everything else has been replaced.

IIRC, the TBSS has an LS2, just with a truck intake manifold. It's a Gen3, and I think the throttle body operates backward from either the Gen4 and/or the other Gen3 TBs. I just recall seeing where people were having to reverse the polarity when swapping on an LS2 TB or something of that nature.
