Thanks guys for all the responses. Sounds like these Tahoe's are just simply too high to maintain for my likes and income level right now. I think I am going to just get rid of it and save myself a lot of money. $300-500 bucks for a tune up or upgrade is way more than I plan to ever pay just to keep a vehicle running. Plus the mentioned spider injection problems, distributors eating off the gear teeth, brakes giving issues, heck I used to be a die hard GM guy but somehow I think they missed the mark on this one.

Thats just my opinion, so please no one take offense. I trade 4x4's a lot and I have never had to spend this kind of cash just to get any Jeep or Toyota or Nissan or older Chevy running good.

that amount spread out for about 7-10 years is nothing. You do not have to do it every years you know.

You are right, after a certain point it seems like everything goes. I agree 100%, GM missed something, especially with the fueling design. I am by no means a diehard GM guy as ChrisAU has been so kind to pointed out. I fixed that by the way. But, I am quite fond of the design of the 2drs.

Sun has a point but, I think its the initail expense to get to that point. I know I probably would not have bought my Hoe if I knew I had to replace as much as I didi in such a short period of time. But, now that I did, its all good.

WTF?

And MSD=Might Soon Die

A little harsh, dont you think?

Huh, first one to have any complaints about MSD. Have you had any issues?
Do tell.

Went online at Advance Auto and used a promo code that knocked off $50 bucks on the ACCEL TST3 Super Ignition Tune Up Kit and bought it today. I will let everyone know how it works out for me since no one responded that seems to have used this kit.
Also going with Purolator fuel filter, Valvoline 10w40 high milage oil, Pure One gold oil filter.

All this combined came in at about the $150 buck mark, so thats not so bad for a complete engine service. I know I left off the air filter but I checked it and it still looks like new so I am going to wait on that till I upgrade to a CAI setup.

Hopefully this will get my HOE back on the road running smooth anyways. If not, then she will go up on Craigslist for sale or trade.

Would a stuck EGR valve cause the multiple cylinder misfire?

If so, what happens on the 5.7 vortec if you simply remove the EGR valve and use a block off plate??? My CEL has already had the bulb removed so I am not worried about a CEL light on the dash staying on.

Reason I am asking is because I have two codes thrown and one of them is about the EGR/circuit.
