The new spider actually flows better than the factory one...don't know if this translates into more power, but you'll have a smoother idle. The marketed improvement is that the new spider doesn't get stuck with the newer fuel mixes like the original spider - should help out with your lean fuel condition.
Yes! I couldn't do it myself. I needed help doing mine. Does your #1 plug wire bend at the dizzy to clear the fuel line? The fuel lines were the biggest pain in the ass.
Mine has the exact same noise. Is loud in cab, but can't hear it in engine bay. Stays on for the two seconds the fuel pump runs after I turn the key off. I'm pretty sure it's fuel line related, but my shop says it's ok. So I've learnt to live with the noise. If anyone finds out what it is, I'd be interested in knowing.Only problem I seem to have is a sucking type sound that can be heard at the bottom of the dash by the floor???? Goes away for a second if you stab the throttle, so I assume its a vacuum related. It is loud enough that it sounds like the blower is on, but I cant seem to hear it in the engine bay.
Hehe.. yup. I can chirp my tires now. You?Throttle response is stupid. It is pretty touchy and I will have to relearn how to drive it normally.
