I have a 2020 GMC YUKON 5.3 and i removed the resonator by the back bumper and the flapper valve. Literally no change in sound. I did the same on my 2014 and it sounded perfect for what i wanted. I thought it would have been the exact same sound enhancement but no. What's the best exhaust system/muffler just to get a little bit of sound. i don't want to hear it on the interstate with the stereo on. Just a tiny bit of sound so you know there's a v8 under the hood. Basically, the quietest aftermarket that's still louder than stock.
Did you pick anything up ?

This is what I'm running:

Per their website, it supports up to 2000 hp, but even if it doesn't, it WILL support up to 500 and that fits my bill and sounds great!

I bought through Rockauto in February. Great price! Shipped was about $500.

I don't know why people want to spend so much money on high dollar name brands. Dynomax has been making exhaust systems FOREVER.

I tried a Borla touring muffler and it was still a bit too much for long trips. So i put the factory muffler back on. This weekend i installed a K&N intake system and it's exactly what i was looking for. Quiet when cruising or light acceleration but put a bit of load on it and it sounds amazing. It's almost like having switchable exhaust. I know with modding there's always a trade off but for once this exceeded my expectations.
