The Yukon is the family rig that sees a fair amount of dirt that comes with having kids in sports. Never really had a problem with our old Tahoe but the new fabrics that GM uses for their cloth option became an absolute nightmare to keep clean. I picked up a set of the Katzkin leather seats for the 3 row seating and it was one of the best upgrades I have done so far.

I shopped around before just deciding to do it myself and couldn't get myself to spent $1200 on installation.

2011UKON, it looks great. Did you install the leather your self?
What did you pay for the leather seat cover?

Nice! Where did you order the katzkin kit from? How long did the install take?

I found a good price on ebay from a guy that sells Katzkin. It was about $915 shipped compared to about $1200 from most online retailers. I checked around with three shops close by and the price ranged from $2800-$3400 installed and to have them install the covers if I brought it to them it was $1200-$1400. It took me about 10 hrs total to remove the seats, break them down, install the leather and reinstall them. The third row was probably the biggest PITA because there is so much plastic trim to remove but everything else was fairly straight forward.

Thanks for that info! :Handshake: I'm looking at getting a kit and doing it myself. Will probably do it one row at a time :) your info helps a lot.

Did you get any different colored thread? My interior is tan so I was going to get the tan leather and was tossing around either getting maroon or black piping or stitching. Can't decide.

Thanks for the comment guys!
nice, good work, I hate the cloth in my nnbs. LINT MAGNET
Yes it is. My daughter plays competitive softball so the vacuum wasn't even picking up all the dirt and I got tired of using my little steam cleaner every time I cleaned the inside.

I just went with the factory black but it's the wife's rig so the details would have been completely lost on her.

One last thing I forgot to mention is that the plastic back for the rear of the driver and passenger front seats will require some very small staples to fasten the replacement material. I bought a pneumatic staple gun and staples for it, so unless you have one plan on spending another $75 for both.

Here is the description of what I bought from Amazon:

Stapler - Spot Nails JS7116 22 Gauge Bostitch 71 Series Stapler, 5/32-Inch to 9/16-Inch

Staples - 3/8-Inch Crown Staple with 5/32-Inch Leg.
