I will be looking to get 4 KC Daylighters for the front of my Tahoe. I don't plan on going with a Pushbar/GrillGuard because this won't go well with the "look" I am going for for my truck. Therefore, I am curious about other mounting options.

How are some of you mounting these lights (or similar lights for that matter) into/onto the bumper. Are you drilling holes in the bumper, or is there a bracket you can get that will sans having to drilling holes?

Ideas/Thoughts/comments?

Thanks

I looked at doing that but have decided to run a pre-runner style bar on mine.

You can either drill holes in the top of your stock bumper for the light mounts....or I saw a kid on here take off his front license plate holder and use the back to make a pattern. He then fabbed up a couple flat bars that went behind it and ran a small tube on top of the uprights just above the bumper to mount the lights to.

That's interesting. If you happen to remember the members name, please post, I'd like to see that.

I am contemplating fab'ing up something, I'll have to see once I get the lights. Honestly I am against drilling mainly because of the potential rusting that could happen over time. I guess If I sealed it up with silicon during the install, I could avoid this, but If I remove the lights then there are unsightly holes in the bumper...booo.

Tru dat...I had four foglights I installed myself right when I got my truck...decided to take them off. And now have not only the holes from my license plate holder, but also four other holes in my front bumper

I found a set of brackets that allows you to just clamp the lights onto the top or bottom of your bumper years ago at an auto parts store. They were pretty chap too, did you ever get yours mounted?
