I'm curious what you guys are doing with your stock ECM's after you get a tune. Are you sending them in for a deposit refund or keeping them? I can see where keeping it might help re-sale to a traditionalist. I'm not sure that I understand the reason why some guys put the stock one in when they go in for service, maybe someone could explain that? I'm very green to all this computer tuning stuff but very excited to have it done.

I have an 07 Z71 Tahoe. My only current mod is an Airaid JR. Future mods will be a muffler replacement (muffler only, not a cat-back system) and a CCM level with 285/65/18's. I am thinking the scan cable tune will suit me fine...

With your year, you will have both an ECM and a TCM.

Hmm. Not sure what that means... I'll look it up.

Ah, Transmission control module... gotta love google. I see its a combined core charge for the ECM & TCM, cool.
