Key fob problem

I recently purchased a 03 Tahoe lt and the lady told me there was a problem with the key fobs not programming and she was right. I followed all instruction and programming will not complete its cycle. Any ideas on the way to fix this?

Bad Key fob or battery could also be bad passenger door lock module. Keyfobs communicate and run thru the passenger door switch.
