Congrats on getting your problem solved! I would have never have guessed a pinched antenna wire.

Sorry but so far I can only preclude that if the power sources are there then something is wrong with the reciever or body control module but I will looking into the bcm next.

Sunlitcomet, I got excited when I read this post. Your one of a handfull of guys who know anything about a BCM. You showed how to enter the BCM diagnostic mode. How about entering the BCM programming mode? I have spent hours googling the net on how to program our BCM's, but no joy. And once in programming mode, how about a list of options?

Sorry only on board diags of various modules on the vehicle and monitoring of functions thru diag software but not for altering the program. It seems so preprietary that dealers usually have to call a techline for help or keep the software locked up in a managers office somewhere. I do remember a few years back that a few companies were selling chip modules to alter programming. I am sure that there is software that can I just don't have it. Like a tech 2 tool forabout 2 grand on ebay. I do have access to the gm techlink newsletters that discuss engineering issues with gm vehicles.

ok, no worries, thanks. I would think that it should be simple like the Montana mini-vans, and the Jimmy's, etc. Where programming the BCM is outlined in the user manual, and usually involves removing a fuse, and turning the key a few times, and listening to the number of chimes to set options. Only on these trucks does GM deem that to be secret.

That is why I remembering seeing something in custom vehicle magazines about doing that. I don't think gm anticipated a lot of mods on these.
