KEY FOB --- Won't Program

Have a new set of key fob's --- But feel I wasted money on new FOB's because the signal from the truck is not working? How do I reprogram if the truck is not locking and unlocking during programing of these new remotes?

Is there a way to trouble shoot?

sometimes it takes longer than the directions say to unlock/lock try holding it for a little longer if its more than like 30-45 seconds then its probably a bad receiver in the truck.

I did this awhile back. I posted the process I did in a thread and it worked like a champ. This may be what you are trying but just in case -

If that doesn't work I would double check the batteries and give it another shot.

Also, make sure you have the correct fob for your vehicle- check that the GM/UTA # on the back of the fob is compatible with your truck. When I bought my new fob the seller told me to check the # on my old one. There are 2 different ones.

I'm curious about this as well. I've tried multiple times to get replacement key fobs and they will never program. Every dealer and replacement specialist I worked with has said that there is a problem with the truck itself, not the fobs. I just assumed the receiver was part of the BCM or some other expensive part.

if these dont work and you can return try using www.keylessride.com They will use your vin # to get the right fobs and get you set up with programming too!

GOT it WORKING ---

Drove me crazy a couple weeks and then one day the program worked.... I was happy as can be when I slowed the process of cycling on, off and on off --- very slow and didn't rush the process and then the program worked!!! AHHH to have the POWER of the FOB back!!!!
