2002 Tahoe, when I try to start it nothing happens. Panel lights come on but nothing further. Have seen in other threads these symptoms talked about but I have never come across any definite fixes. Does anyone have any further follow up.

Is your battery good and still holding proper charge? That's where I would look first.

I would check/change the battery. I have had all sorts of issues with a bad battery (either low voltage or a bad cell) that could never be explained until I put a new battery in.

If thats not it, next thing I would check would be the Ignition Switch.

Can you hear the starter click when you turn the key to start?

The battery was changed out as that was my first thought.

When the key is turned, I hear no sounds. No clicking of starter etc

How do your battery cable ends look, can have the strongest battery but if the ends are all crapped up it won't do you any good!
