I have a 04, and I'd like to raise/level the front to match the rear's height.

From what I've read on this board, I just need a set of leveling keys installed in the front?

Is there anything else? How difficult is install? Does it cause other parts to wear faster?

Pic for reference:

Thanks...sorry for the newb question :)

there are 2 ways too level

1st. Crank up stock keys
Pros.
1"-1.5" gain in the front
Level with the rear
Free (except for the alignment needed)
Can fit bigger tires

Cons.
Rides is a little stiffer (some like it, some dont)
Harsher on front end compnents (i cranked my keys @120,000 miles and nothing has really changed)

2" leveling keys
Pros
2"-3" gain
Fit bigger tires

Cons
Really rough ride
Need spacers to be level to rear
NEED new longer shocks

hope this helps

heres mine with 2" ford keys and 2" rear spacers

Thanks for the info...I'll start with the stock keys and go from there!

With the stock keys, what size tire can I fit on my oem 17's?

Is there a thread on how to crank the stock keys? I wouldn't mind doing it just to see how it looks. My front driver-side tire rubs sometimes.

If you go with ford keys to level it out you won't need new shocks unless you crank them all the way. When I did my ford keys I had to loosen the key bolts from where the GM's were at beacuse my front was higher than the rear. I'm happy with the ford keys as well. Very easy install, takes about 30 minutes (if you've got a torsion key tool and air impact)

To crank on the stock ones, look under your truck at the gap between the drivers door and passengers. You'll see the bars go into a cross member and the bolts will be sticking out the bottom. Tighten to raise, loosen to drop.

Thanks Dylan.
Got 285/75/16's on there now. One of the front rubs a bit when in reverse. She is pretty level, but another inch in the front would help fo sho.

Man, that sounds really easy. So as someone said above you, this will cause you to need an alignment?
