Got the front end put together today. The Viking coil kit from twisted metal fab was very well built and super easy to install. The wilwood kit went in pretty easy also. Lastly the djm lower control arms are a nice piece and straightened out the angles nicely.

When I’m home next time we are heading to Orlando to take the family to Disney so this will be on hold for at least a month. I’m hoping the whipple will be in by then along with my cat less y pipe from kooks.

I really wish he would have but nope lol. I got off the plan from Disney, hopped in my work truck, and headed out to midland. I did get word from Whipple that they are way behind on production and might have it shipped out by the 16th. At the end of the day it’s all good and will give me time to sort out the rear suspension and install the icchiller I picked up.

Watching this build eagerly as I also have a ‘16 Denali (Yukon XL) and want to follow in your powertrain & driveline footsteps!

Sorry for such the long delay in the build. With my 3 girls, summer heat, and work I haven’t had time to touch it much. I still do have it and the whipple finally came in. However I haven’t even opened the box up yet. I promise you guys by the end of the year she’ll be up and going strong.

Ok guys I’m back at it as much as i can be. I got a promotion back before thanksgiving and it’s been eating all my time. Today I conquered the rear brakes. Tomorrow I’m going to try and button up the rear suspension and fuel pump. It’s been a while sense I’ve been able to lay hands on the thing but I’m starting to remember where I left off.

All good @WestTxDenali.

Congrats on the promotion.

Now that we have 2 confirmed forum members who have swapped the L8T into their K2XX SUV there’s quite a few of us interested in your progress, how you get there, and the results.

Life happens at a pace more important then fun vehicle builds. You move at your own pace my guy. Just keep us in the loop along the way.

Excuse the mess lol

Got the rear end done today. The control arms and super high quality and the adjustable trac bar fits perfect. It nice to see it under its own weight.

It’ll be a while before I’m able to get back at it seeing that the next few days off the wife has vacations planned. However if I get a chance to sneak away I’ll be sure to keep you guys updated.
