Well since the filter media is the same density/micron rating in both the long and short versions of the Delco filter, more surface area allows it to flow more easily through the filter. You aren't really getting more life per se, but maybe better flow (through the filter) at the same oil pressure.Would someone mind educating me on this, please? Why is having a bigger oil filter better? Is it because you can go longer between oil changes? I get that a bigger filter can filter more oil at once due to greater surface area. Anyway, thanks.
