Hey actually joined about a year ago and just realized i never introduced myself.....ok so here goes ,
Im David and im a truckoholic.

Didn't get my Tahoe till july of last year. See i moved to Alaska from Seattle and I had a 2wd truck when I was in seattle, not good for alaska. So I sold the truck and knew my dad was trying to get rid of his Tahoe for something new so I told him I'll buy it when i got i to town. Got a pretty good deal and he is the original and only owner. Has been garaged it's entire life. Have a folder filled with paper work of every time it was ever in the shop. Got it with 145k and it currently has just over 150k and it drives perfectly with every switch and button and piece in perfect working condition. I don't have a use for a full size suv, I've had trucks my whole life ever since I was 16 in high school and to be honest I've never liked the style of the nbs tahoes or suvs in general. The body is boring and nothing but the electrical system changed in 7 years, but it's definitely growing on me. And knowing the history and who owned it I felt like it would be a good investment and piece of mind for buying something used cause I can't afford new just yet (but the wife's car is a 2015 )

Oh yea so it's a 2003 Tahoe LT with autoride. 5.3 flex fuel. Indigo blue metallic with grey interior. I call it blue steel. And yes i know after hanging around I saw another member calls his blue steel too lol.
Anyway so far I love this site I ain't goin anywhere else:chewie:

The day I brought it home. Ready for a real multi stage detail asap. It was clean inside and out but never had anything besides a wash and wax. Also not a fan of the color either but it too is growing on me. I use to be a certified detailer for lexus, bmw, and Mercedes, porche, exc...as well as domestic autos , so this should be a piece of cake. If you have any detail questions I am more than glad to help.
No interior pics, only my dad and mom were the only two who rode in this. No kids or animals so the 2nd and 3rd row are like showroom quality. Pretty sure 3rd row has never seen an ass lol.20150611_195639.jpg

Ok it was pretty brutal taking off factory fender flares, mud flaps, and badges from 03 lol

After a deep hand wash and quick spray wax

Notice the swirl marks and outline of the flares :(
Waited to do multi stage detail on paint till the side moldings are removed

And I dreaded the moldings for good reason. That was a full day job on its own.

Luckily I have this. It's a lifesaver and a great investment for only $20 has lasted me 7 years and dozens of trucks and cars, snowmobiles and motorcycles.

Then it was time for the buffing, polishing, and waxing...for now.

Not bad for an 03. Will do a more thorough detail this summer, still not up to my standards:cool:
