Picked up my boat from storage on Friday, hooked it up, grabbed my phone to kick off a trailer light test. Much to my chagrin, looks like latest MyGMC app removed the ProGrade Trailering Functions (Light Test, Ability to Set the Checklist Items, Manage a Trailer, and Load Calcs). Found some info on the OnStar Forum that they ackonwledge these features being deprecated, and the reason given was "simplifying the user experience."

Not sure how many of you all used these features, but I used them every time I towed...gotta believe people with the pickups and esp the HD's who tow larger trailers, will miss these. Can I walk to the vehicle, get in, and start the test on the infotainment screen? Sure. is it as convenient as pulling my phone out of my pocket and starting it from the rear of my trailer? No.

Really feel like GM is blowing it on their software strategy.

No different than deleting apps which we pay monthly money to use.... now gone. They should concentrate on ADDING features/apps vs Deleting them. What are we paying for? The ability to listen to the Wall Street Journal?
