That is the lower for a 5.3 but check your VIN and match it up.

You're going to laugh at me... But it's not leaking enough for me to even tell. Can't get a scratch n' sniff off the thing. It's just oily.

is there a chance its 'oily' from blowback fluid from another line? is there any leaking above it or in front of it? tranny fluid is usually easy to tell, if its 'oily', and you cant determine its tranny fluid, sounds to me, like some more looking around is in order, especially if your tranny fluid level is ok and its not needing frequent topping off.

if you use a quick disconnect tool that clips can stay in place and it wont have a chance it of flying and getting lost, if you dont have the tool and pull the clip, put it back in first, then push the new line in through it till it clicks, then tug back on it.

the line has what looks like a dick head, the clip locks behind the head so to say lol

Leak got worse since I posted and I managed to wiggle my phone camera down in there to do a little trace. Transmission line for sure

FYI you won't be ale to get to the connector on the upper line where it goes into the trans unless you drop the trans down a few inches. That's a lot of work. I wouldn't change it unless it's leaking.

Could you confirm? Labor times for each of the transmission lines are only .9 hours, with the cooler->rad line being .6

I replaced my lower with the trans in place and was barely able to get a pick in there to remove the c-clip. I could barely even see the upper one, much less remove the clip. Then when you have to reinsert the clip before pushing the line back in, you'll need to put it in a pair of needle nose pliers and re-orient it a few times , drop it a few times, and cuss a lot. It will take all your concentration. And that's the easy lower one. When I replaced my trans a few months later I was able to get the upper line off only after I had lowered the trans quite a bit. If you have access to ramps or jack stands, go under there and have a look. I guarantee even the lower line will have you cussing for a long time.

Just finished. Not really a bag job TBH. Just need a right angle hose pick

Pop the air box out, front grille off. On the trans, remove the passenger side heat shield - 2 10mm bolts. Gives you all the room you need. Reach in from the back and you can get to the connectors easy

As far as getting the lines out, loosen/remove the passenger side diff mount, let it droop, the pull the lines forward. Front valence is pretty soft and will push up out of the way. All and all, it's about a 2 hour and 15 minute job ground to ground to do all 3

As far as getting the lines out, loosen/remove the passenger side diff mount, let it droop, the pull the lines forward.
