My leak was under the cowl on the pass side. There is a removable panel for access to the screen over the blower motor. The panel has a seal on it, and mine was dry rotted. Pulling it up, I ended up breaking the tabs that hold it in place, but that's beside the point 
. I had some flex seal, and used it to seal up the whole thing. Hasn't leaked since.
