I'm leaking from this area of my filler tube. Do these wear out or have a washer or some seal that needs replacing?

Oops I lied

Verified on my rig. It's just under half a turn. The oil fill cap will also thread directly into the valve cover
Ok I need to check to make sure its on tight. The cap is always hard to get off so it likely twisted it out/off some.

I removed the rails for the coils and removed the cam covers, and tapped it out with a hammer and a flat head. It doesn't look damaged, so I'm gonna try to put it back in. I know I didn't remove it, but it looks like someone just didn't take their time installing it, and it got snagged up in the port.

You can buy just the o-ring. You can also buy the tube with a new ring. I had this same problem, and considering a brand new one did the same thing as the old one, I'm probably just an idiot, but no way in hell will I ever admit it. I just removed the filler tube, and put the oil cap right in place. I can use a funnel when I do an oil change, and I was able to lighten my vehicle by three ounces.
