It takes me about 10 mins to get the bumper off now, probably 15 the first time. Then three bolts on the headlights and they come out, swap out the bulbs and put in the resistors (I soldered, so it took a little longer). You can probably do the whole thing in an hour I would say, most likely less. I've done it 4 times now essentially.

I didn't know you had to take the bumper off. I thought you just had to pull the liner to get to the third headlight bolt.

About an hour for both lights. I just unbolted the top of the bumper and the 2 bolts behind the fender wells. Then the light just slid out. I'm really impressed how well these lights match my 6000k hids. Damn near a perfect match.

There's only 2 headlight bolts. Up top. The sides are just pushed into place and there's like a clamp on the inner side of the headlight. When you pull it out it pops out of it. No bolt

Unless it changed by year model, there are 3 headlight bolts (at least on my '07), two on top, one on the side and then that clip sort of thing on the inside of of the headlight.

The bumper if you want to remove the whole thing is two screws, 3 clips in the fender liner, then 8 bolts on the bottom (4 each side), 6 across the top.

I just did mine last night. There's 2 bolts up top and 2 plastic guides that go into the fender on the outside of the headlight and a plastic clip that just pops out on the inside. If there's 3 bolts, mine didn't have it. Never even saw a place where the 3rd bolt would be

Cool, glad they changed it as the models progressed. Without that bolt there you can do it without removing the bumper as you did, which is fantastic.

I am lost......Awhile back I was in Sylvania's website and noticed that the DRL and head light are differant bulbs. I just had HID's instaled and now there on during the day. I never took notice which bulb is the DRL bulb or the head light bulb prior to this instal. Another thing is when I put my brights on they are not blue/purple rather then a "regular color" bulb. Had them instaled a few weeks ago but havent used my brights till tonite. WTF?

Headlights and brights are 2 different bulbs. If you want hid as brights, you need a different set. As far as the drls, those are not the headlights. The drls, assuming you talking about a newer Tahoe, are the lower logs under the headlights. Can't tember if they were the inner or outer set.
