I'm new to the forum here and recently picked up a 2018 Z71 Tahoe. I have enjoyed reading up on some must-do's to get these trucks running good and hopefully for a long time.

First thing on my to-do list was throw some LED's in the low beams. It is insane that GM had halogens in these from the factory. I went with Sealights off of Amazon. Big difference for the price.

Check out how bad this air filter was!!! I bought the car with 61k miles on it. I was pumped because it was a one owner car but it looks like that owner never changed it.

well if they didn't even bother to change the air filter you can bet money all other fluids are going to be the same condition, I would flush everything brakes, transmission, differentials, coolant, oil

Changed out the Halogens in our 2018 Yukon Denali for the same brand LED's you mentioned. Somehow, someway the OEM auto-dimming feature present with the halogens disappeared that automatically switched on and off the High beams when I made the switch. Never had a previous vehicle in my 63 years being a licensed driver (yeah, I'm an old fart with a lot of experience as a "car guy") that had that auto-dimming feature so no biggie but found it interesting that a simple bulb change would eliminate that feature.

I left the stock high beams in there because they were pretty buried. These LED low beams are brighter than the halogen high beams so Im not even going to use them. My plan is to put a dual pod LED in the fog cubbie or throw some spots on the A pillar eventually.

I'm not impressed with the replacement low beams at all. The Yukon came with those "projector" low-beams that were OK, barely, here in Deer Country for spotting Bambi early but the LED replacements might actually be a downgrade. High beams and Fog lights are OUTSTANDING !

Which LED's did you go with? I saw a huge upgrade in light output even with amazon cheap-o's

The HID replacements I ordered from Amazon were incorrect and returned....discovered they don't even sell them anymore. I had so much hassle finding the replacements for the HID-projector beams I forgot I had to order from Sealight and they fit but the OEM bulbs were actually better in my opinion. On the Denali the low beams are behind the lens that looks like a half of a clear sphere in the headlight housing. It was so much trouble changing the HID stuff out I just left the LED stuff in and rely on the much improved Fog Light and high beam replacements for early spotting all the darn Deer around here.
