I put LED strips in the four front vents of my 1999 Yukon, and I was wondering if anyone has ever put LED strips in the vents on the roof for the rear seat. If so did you pull the headliner down or what??

Actually, I'm kinda curious about the front leds in the vents too. Where did you run the wires?

If you had pics, I wouldn't mind seeing them too.

Thanks.

I took off my dash and ran the wires straight down to under the steering coloum where I then connected them to my power wire running through my firewall, then for the vents in front of the passenger I popped those vents off and just ran those wires right out of the vent. Down to the power wire. You can not see any wires when the glove box is open or closed. All of my wires are not visible.
I need to get them in the upper vents in the rear now.

IMHO, would look better if you did the gauge cluster and HVAC controls with the same color LEDs as well.

Yes, I just ordered those like 10 minutes ago. For superbrightleds.com. I got them for my gauges and the HVAC controls, the courtesy lights in the doors, the lights under the dash, and the two dome lights.

Those look sweet as hell IMO. Are they on all of the time? Where did you get the LEDs to do that from?? I am interested in doing the same thing but wiring them to a switch.

Thank you, I purchased them at advanced auto, they are like 15$ for two 6 inch strips and yes I have them on a switch cause during the day you can see them but they are kind of pointless, but at night it lights my entire truck up. The whole labor time was like 3 hours. It was well worth the 65$ for 8 strips and a switch. It's cheap and makes it look cool.

The dash and HVAC controls will really finish it off. Ill be ordering my dash and HVAC leds tomorrow

Yes one in each vent and one in each footwell and under the seats as well in the rear. And ya I just ordered mine tonight. I'm excited for that. But tomorrow I'm going to figure out how to get strips in the rear vents on the ceiling for the passengers in the back... Idk how im gonna do it but it is going to be done. Hahaha.
