V-led switchbacks on rear reverse/turn & front drl's & switchback blinkers. Superbright LED's for interior, exterior mirror floods, & corners.

In other words, I'm good to go without resistors for fog lights and DRLs but need one for the flashbacks turn lights, right???
Anybody running exterior LEDs from a different company other than autolumination?

I'm running license plate, drl, and reverse leds from superbrightleds.com

Wondering how long these light would last WITH proper resistors.... they look great and all but I'd hate to buy these expensive bulbs every three months..

Sumo (or anybody else), is you DRL/Switch back/Fog combo from autolumination still works???

yup never a problem yet over a year now

Don't mean to be a PITA but what's the difference between resistors and protectors and which one would I need for DRLs and for switchbacks? There are many of you suggesting to install one or the other, there are others that are running theirs without them. Are these terms (resistors/protectors) use interchangeably or do they have to be specific form a given application??

Resistors are needed in order to prevent blinker hyperflash. Meaning that without them them the circuit behaves as if the bulb is out because it's not getting enough current back. The resistor equalizes the load and prevents the hyperflashing. If you have separate drls and front blinkers you only need resistors for the blinkers. If you have switchback drl/blinker bulbs then you still only need two resistors to stop hyperflash.

LED protectors protect against power surges ... if you get dual circuit led bulbs you don't need them. Dual circuit means it has two contact strips at the base as opposed to one.

At least that's how I understand all this. :)

I had a set of SMD LED DRL's blow before in my Tahoe and got LED protectors the next time just to be save. They save them from power surge's like Serge said.
