That is awesome!! You must have had to pull your valve covers to do such a nice job though. I'd love to do that but we use ours everyday and so the only opportunity I have to rip stuff apart and paint it is after supper. Thats when I did my intake and fuse box cover.

Well yeah I had everything done the same day. My powder coat guys works pretty fast so I got all my things done at once.

Thanks man. Actually its really easy. The key thing is to NEVER let it get dirty to begin with.

Agreed. Before I phone family to catch up, I mix up a small bucket of Simple Green and water, and pop the hood to hang a trouble light.

While talking, I've got the bucket with a couple of small bristle brushes (artist's brushes) soaking in it. Along with a couple of rags and a small sponge, I pick some area of the engine bay and start dabbing and wiping. I find it an efficient way to do two things I like at the same time; each of which really requires no more than half a mind to do.
