What's good guys, just wanted to see if anyone out there is running stock GM 20's on their 2000-06 full size SUVs. I have a 2000 XL and been wanting to mount some 20x8.5 or 9 but I was wondering what's the biggest tire size I can throw on? Will they rub or do I have to do some trimming. I may add a level with it and maybe a body lift later.

Stock with no lift or level, 275/55/20's come factory, 275/60's are just about an inch taller, you can get away easily by not having to do anything more than a couple turns of your t-bar keys.

I've just picked up some 275/65/20's, to mount on some '08 Sierra 20x8.5's. Will be going on my 04XL, already have about 3" from keys in the front and Z71 springs and 2" spacers in the rear. Looks like they'll clear with minimal trimming, if any at all....I have a 3" body lift to add whenever I get the time.

idk how wide the wheels are. I bolted on lift keys, then drove down the street to have the tires put on. These tires wouldn't have looked right without the front leveled, like a 2WD.

Even if you ratchet up the stock keys to gain more clearance, you will have to get a wheel alignment.

I took this pic before the alignment; check out that positive camber

There isn't much clearance between the tire & back of the wheel tub @ full lock or whatever they call it. I can't go any bigger on tires without them catching somewhere on full turn. I would surely have problems had I left the original keys in. I can't say if the stock 20" would make a difference but I wanted to help out the best I can. Would I ❤️ to have these OEMs..

Do you know if I'll have any issues in the back? Will I have to trim anything in the rear wheel well

I put on 275-60-20 duratracs,only put keys up front and nothing in the back.Really slowed the truck down in power off the line but looks good.I think 285 is max before cutting is needed.

I have aftermarket 20s, running 285/50R20 Toyos and no mods whatsoever. I think my wheels are probably 20x9, but I couldn't say for sure. The chrome is shot on my wheels, so I am about to buy new ones, probably Fuel Assaults, 20x10 was my thought, but maybe I should do 20x9? I don't know any way to tell. I don't want to trim anything, don't want to have to get suspension mods. Just want nice looking wheels and tires.

Here are the wheels I am looking at:

I just don't know if I should go with the 10" or 9". Any suggestions?

I've had 20x10 with 305x55x20 on my z71 Tahoe leveled. No rub
Right now I have 26x10 20offset with 305/30/26 which is like a 33.5x12.2" tires. No rub and I'm lowered alittle abit. My fender height is like 35" from the ground

I don't know if the Z71 package makes a difference or not? Mine is just a plain old LT model, though I've changed out the grill and bumpers to be color-matched black, so a lot of people think it's a Z71. I know there are some suspension differences, aren't there?

If I can go with a 20x10 and 285s or 295s without doing any mods or cutting anything, I'd be pretty pleased with that.

20x10 with a 20offset should fit 285/55/20
Or 295/55/20 because I got 26x10 with 20offset and 33s and no rub
