Let's talk foam cannons

Ordered a mtm hydro and got the durogloss 902 in friday. Guess ill see how it works in a week.

So i used the foam cannon and duragloss 902 this morning on the jeep and the tahoe. 1st try on the jeep was mehhh, didnt seem to get the soap to water ratio right. Used 1 cap of soap to 32 oz of water. Worked ok i guess. Did help getting some debris off.

Next was the tahoe. Used 1 1/2 caps full of soap to 32 oz of water. Was a little more foamy but not much better. At the end of the wash, i tightened the cap on top down and seemed to foam alot more, but also used alot of soap and water.

Here is the before and soap photos i got on the tahoe. You can see the better soap on the last pic

Will try again in a few weeks to see if i can get the ratio of soap and water down better.
I just dont get how they get so much foam on the videos i watched. Its so thick and really sticks to the car and doesnt run off that much.

Any ideas on how to get better suds?

I use more soap than just a cap full. Maybe like an ounce or two. The top knob is cranked all the way to the right for the most soap.

This was my wash yesterday.

Kind of an estimate but I used 1-2oz and feel I needed just a bit more soap.

Ok. The video i posted said 2 oz but the duragloss bottle said 1 cap for every gallon so i tried to follow that. Will try 2oz next time. :handshake:

On another note, the duragloss seemed to strip all the wax off that the car wash put on when they screwed up my paint a month or so ago. Me handwashing it kept up the shine until today. Damn that car wash trashed my clearcoat....the black looks alot duller now.

You hardly have any wax on the ram last I recall right?

@choo choo duragloss has never stripped down any wax for me.

Wash and Gloss does though. It's supposed to.
