Got the letter last week for my 16
I have a ‘16 Suburban that had 47k on it when I had this fail on me driving home last June, 330 miles from home, with my 4 year old in the car. It’s scary because it’s as if you don’t have brakes (makes you feel that way). Took it to Chevy the next morning. The girl told me they didn’t have an appointment for 2-weeks. I told her I’m not moving the car from the service lane. I have a 100k mile warranty. Fix it and I need an equal car due to family size. They finally saw it my way.

Is the problem intermittent? I got the notice a couple weeks back

Our VW had heater recall issues. The heater cores liked to explode. VW played a game stating mine wasn’t covered before it leaked.
Once it did leak I photocopied the letter from another VW owner, brought it to the dealer, presented the letter and explained how my it scared my girlfriend when it let loose and filled the car with steam.
The red carpet rolled out when I mentioned the ice pack on her legs really helped the burns feel better. That didn’t occur, but the dealer got a laugh over it because it allowed them to get 10hrs to pull the dash instead of 1.5.

I received my letter and finally took it in after experiencing the issue intermittently. The replaced the pump and hose to the vacuum boost, stating the hose had collapsed. It did make a very noticeable difference in braking pressure, particularly at lower speeds. MUCH less pressure required to affect a stop now and much easier to control the rate of deceleration without major brake pressure.
