I've tried searching the forums and haven't really found what I'm looking for. If someone can point me to another topic I'd appreciate.

Anyways what I'm looking to do is level my 2001 Tahoe by lowering the rear to match the factory front. What is the best way to do that?

Next question is what size tires will I be able to fit? 33s? I want an aggressive off-road tire and 18"-20" wheels

If anyone has pictures of this setup or similar that would be great as well. I can picture it in my mind but haven't seen it in reality minus one NNBS on a google search. Thanks in advance

Also I wasn't sure if this should go in street suspension or lifted.

Level never really looks level. Looks sagging a little in real life

That tahoe has more like a 2/3-4 drop and some skinny 33s 11.5. They really look like a 32. Plus that is a nnbs style. Fitment will be different.

Ok so I guess my question is how can I "level" the truck by dropping the rear or what's the mildest lowering available(not dropping the front much). Can this be achieved by changing the coil springs and backing off the torsion bars?

And yes I know that is a NNBS Tahoe I'm just saying that is what I'm looking to replicate with my 01. Maybe with 18s and 33s

You can do a 2/3 or a 3/5 (those will be pretty level) or you can find two inch lowering springs. That will bring you to a level via lower (instead of lifting the front). The suspension source sells some good rear spring kits at a good price, plus they will hook you up with a deal for being a member here. Tbssowners and the suspension source sell drop kits. Both places will hook it up if you tell them you're from here.

I think the truck you posted is pretty rad. never seen a lowered truck on m/ts before.

Thanks! Yea idk why or how the idea popped in my head but I was just thinking it would look pretty sweet and be different. Most of the people around where I live lift trucks 6"+ or they have them "squatted." I can't stand the look of squatted trucks/suvs, but to each his own. I'm sure tons of people will be like why does this guy have a lowered truck on M/Ts lol
